Championship Standings

Championship Races:

Driver Championships:

Driver Championship Eligibility:

Driver of Records must start or finish all races in the same class to receive a year end points position. No throw away race.

Manufacturer Championships:

Manufacturer Championship Eligibility:

Brands are tied to vehicles, based on the vehicle information submitted by the Driver of Record during race registration. Manufacturers are awarded points based on the finishing results from the racers that race their products.

After each race, manufacturers receive the same number of points the Driver of Record is awarded in their Class Points Championship. Manufacturer points will be allocated to the top 20% of participants in each championship class.

To clarify this process, here’s how it might work: If there are 20 participants in a class, the top 20% would be 4 positions. Points will be awarded from racers finishing 1st-4th finishing positions. If the result is not a whole number in all instances (e.g. 6.1, 6.5 or 6.8), the points allocation will round UP (e.g., 7).

A class must have a minimum of 5 entries in order for a manufacturer to be awarded points.

Manufacturer products must be readily available to purchase by the general public.

Start & Finishing Points:

Points Assignment:

Drivers will be awarded points based on their final position in each event.

1st Place = 100 points
2nd Place = 95 points
3rd Place = 91 points
4th Place = 88 points
5th Place = 86 points
6th-Last = 1 point less than position ahead

Position Points/DNS/DQ Points:

Position points will be awarded by distance determined by remote timing gate data, as ordered on the official results.
Zero points will be awards for DNS.
Zero points will be awarded for DQ.

Lowest Points Drop:

AORC will allow one (1) throw-away race within the five-race series. Racers or teams are not required to start all five events. The throw-away round may either be the racer’s lowest points-earning event or a race they do not start.

There is no throw-away race for the Manufacturer Cups.

Remote Timing Gate Locations:

Remote Timing Gates placed along the race course create sectors. Each time you pass through a remote timing gate, you will receive live overall corrected time updates at each those locations.

Tie Break

A tie-break will be decided by fastest elapsed time across all five events. A half point will be added to the racer with the fastest elapsed time.
